About
My practice is based on extensive experience working with people of various backgrounds; cultural, ability, age, identity, and life experiences. I work collaboratively with my clients, with respect and empathy.
Through workshops, individual, and group sessions, I practice and teach a variety of gardening and food growing skills to suit any space, skill level, need and desire. Providing a safe and supportive space, facilitating a healing experience. I work across a wide range of sectors, in both metropolitan and rural areas, including:
mental health services
schools
community gardens
adult education
disability support services.
For me therapeutic gardening is challenging, educational, fulfilling and enriching.
It makes me feel well grown.
My name is Shani and I am a therapeutic horticulture practitioner. I am a passionate advocate of the amazing benefits that being in nature, gardening and garden related activities, have on our physical and mental health.
